Firdose Moonda is an experienced sports writer, specialising in cricket and football, and with an interest in long-form writing. She is also a popular broadcaster and commentator. Firdose combines this with her work in yoga, where her research interests include body politics, embodiment and cultural practice.
Firdose Moonda has two decades of experience as a sports writer, working primarily as Southern African and women’s correspondent for Cricinfo. She also writes extensively about women’s football and is a regular contributor to The Guardian’s Moving the Goalposts newsletter.

With a Masters degree in the Traditions of Yoga and Meditation from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London and ongoing research into the history and evolution of yoga, Firdose Moonda runs specialist yoga humanities courses on teacher trainings.
