This is not a quick-fix immersion. Engage with yoga’s storied history, decolonized philosophy and embodied experience.
With a Masters degree in the Traditions of Yoga and Meditation from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London and ongoing research into the history and evolution of yoga, Firdose runs specialist yoga humanities courses on teacher trainings.
Firdose has taught on over 40 yoga teacher trainings and is part of the faculty at The Shala – Cape Town Yoga School, Yoga Medicine, Imogen North Yoga and House of Yoga.
Her bespoke offerings include a 20-Hour History, Philosophy and Politics of Yoga, to 200 Hours of Teacher Trainings and modules on Yoga and Politics, Decolonising Yoga, Sacred Sounds and Body Politics.
Firdose contextualises the history and philosophy of yoga in time, place and personal stories and works with participants to develop critical thinking skills, selfawareness and reflexivity as they embark on their teaching journeys.
If you would like to book Firdose to teach on your training, either in-person or online, please get in touch.
